1. Summary
Rapideye AnyScreen does not create user accounts, does not sell user data, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
The app is designed to work between your Android device and a compatible workstation, usually on the same trusted local network. Screen video, audio, and control input are used to provide the remote viewing and control session. Rapideye does not receive, record, or store the content of those sessions.
2. Developer and Scope
The app is provided by Rapideye Digital Solutions ("Rapideye", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy covers the Rapideye AnyScreen Android app and any support request you choose to send to us.
Questions about this policy or requests about support data can be sent to info@myrapideye.com.
3. Data the App Accesses or Handles
To provide its core functionality, Rapideye AnyScreen may access or handle the following data on your device or between your device and the workstation you choose to connect to:
- Local network connection data: workstation addresses, names, discovery responses, and connection status used to find, pair with, and connect to a compatible workstation.
- Pairing data: pairing state, certificates, keys, or similar connection credentials stored locally on your Android device so the app can reconnect to paired workstations.
- App settings: preferences such as resolution, bitrate, frame rate, audio settings, input settings, and display settings.
- Session content: video and audio streamed from the paired workstation during an active session so it can be displayed or played on your Android device.
- Control input: touch, mouse, keyboard, stylus, gamepad, or similar input events sent from your Android device to the paired workstation during an active session.
Session content and control input are part of the app's expected remote-viewing function. They are not sent to Rapideye servers and are not recorded by the app.
4. Data We Do Not Collect Through the App
Rapideye AnyScreen does not collect or send the following categories of data to Rapideye:
- Name, phone number, account login, or in-app account profile information.
- Precise or approximate location.
- Contacts, calendar entries, photos, videos, files, or health data from the Android device.
- Advertising ID or advertising profile information.
- Analytics events, usage statistics, crash logs, diagnostics, or device identifiers through third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- Recorded screenshots, screen recordings, stored video, stored audio, or copies of workstation screen content.
5. Android Permissions and App Features
The app may request or declare permissions and features for these purposes:
- Internet and network access: to communicate with the selected workstation and to open support or privacy-policy pages.
- Network and Wi-Fi state: to detect network availability and support local workstation discovery.
- Multicast/Wi-Fi discovery support: to discover compatible workstations on supported Android versions and networks.
- Wake lock: to help keep an active viewing session running while the device is in use.
- Vibration: to provide optional input or interface feedback.
- Android TV channel or program guide permissions, where available: to support TV-style shortcuts or listings for app functionality. These are not used to collect TV viewing history for Rapideye.
- Optional hardware support: touchscreen, Wi-Fi, gamepad, USB host, Android TV, accelerometer, gyroscope, ChromeOS, and Samsung DeX or multi-window support may be declared so the app can run across supported devices.
6. How Data Is Used
Data handled by the app is used only to provide app functionality, including:
- Finding and pairing with a compatible workstation.
- Starting, maintaining, and ending a remote viewing/control session.
- Displaying video, playing audio, and sending user input to the selected workstation.
- Saving local settings and paired workstation information on the Android device.
- Helping respond to support requests if you voluntarily contact us.
8. Security
Pairing and connection information is stored in the Android app sandbox. Shared preferences are excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer by the app's backup rules because they can contain device-specific connection data.
The app is intended for use on trusted clinic, office, or home networks. Users should connect only to workstations they trust and should protect their Android device and workstation with appropriate device locks, operating system updates, and network security controls.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Local app settings, pairing data, and workstation information remain on your Android device until you remove a workstation, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Rapideye does not maintain a server copy of this app data.
Rapideye AnyScreen does not create in-app accounts. If you contact us for support, we retain support communications only as long as needed to respond to the request, maintain business records, protect security, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of support communications by contacting info@myrapideye.com.
10. Children
Rapideye AnyScreen is intended for professional or general productivity use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our data practices, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes.
